João Portugal Ramos is Portugal’s most famous winemaker. The vineyard are located near the ancient marble-filled town of Estremoz in Alentejo. The schist and limestone-clay soil, combined with the region’s Continental climate, create ideal conditions for growing grapes. 100% Loureiro, after pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature, the grapes are pressed and the juice is clarified. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature of 16º C, for 2-3 weeks.
