Lapostolle Apalta represents the heart of Lapostolle: The French winemaking and blending expertise and the Chilean Terroir. 100% hand harvested, strict fruit selection by state of the art Vistalys optical sorter. All fermentations were made in stainless steel tanks. The Apalta blend enhances the main characteristics of each variety: from Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), its complexity and elegant structure; from Syrah (15%), its exuberant and attractive aromas; and from the Carmenere (10%), its roundness and spicy expression. 70% of the blend was aged for 12 months in a mix of new and second use French oak barrels. The wine was clarified and a very light filtration was done previous bottling.
